The ST850 is a low-profile, retractable, thru-hull sensor that accurately measures boat speed and water temperature, sending data directly to any NMEA 2000 network. Its nearly flush design minimizes drag, extending only 5 mm (3/16") outside the hull. The housing includes a water valve to reduce water ingress when replacing the retractable insert with the blanking plug.

Airmar Smart Sensors feature embedded microelectronics that process signals directly inside the housing. The ST850 is available as an analog sensor or a digital Smart Sensor outputting NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 data, simplifying installation with a single cable connection to compatible displays.
