Xylem’s Rule Submersible Utility Pump is designed to remove water from hard-to-reach spaces anywhere water accumulates. The pump is ideally suited for removing unwanted water from basements, garages, backyards, stairwells, utility rooms, sumps and other utility applications.

The pump features a heavy-duty thermoplastic housing that is corrosion proof and

reduces potential leak paths. It also features a powerful motor that only consumes 100 watts, while delivering up to 1800 gallons per hour (GPH) and is available in both non-automatic and automatic versions utilizing a standard 110-volt AC current.

A53D models

The Rule Submersible Utility Pump’s A53D models come with an 8-ft. cord that allows for simple plug-and-go operation.  

A53S models

The Rule Submersible Utility Pump’s A53S models activate approximately every 2.5 minutes to check for water. During this check, the pump runs for about one second and checks for resistance or drag against the impeller. If resistance (water) is found, it will run for as long as water is present. When the water is pumped out, the pump shuts off and returns to its 2.5-minute test cycle. This computerized automation eliminates the need for float switches. Additionally, the pump will turn off automatically if the impeller becomes jammed.
