The Airmar P79 In-Hull Transducer with Humminbird #9 7-Pin plug is designed for planing-hull powerboats, trailered boats, RIBs, and racing sailboats up to 8 m (25’). Unlike traditional “puck” transducers, the P79 features a liquid-filled base bonded to the hull, which transmits sound waves more efficiently and ensures accurate depth readings. The separate transducer attaches to the base via a twist-lock mechanism. Its design allows it to automatically adjust to hull deadrise angles from 2° to 22°, ensuring the sonar beam is vertically oriented for precise echo returns without the need for hull protrusions or drilled holes.
