Suitable for 6mm (1/4″) chain and 12mm (1/2″) 8-plait nylon rope, the RC6 automatic rope/chain anchor winch is Maxwell’s smallest windlass in the vertical RC series and is most commonly used on boats ranging from 4.5-7.5m (15-25′). With more than 12,000 in global circulation, the RC6 has risen to become one of the most popular windlasses in the RC range.

Providing most of the features of the larger RC8, the RC6 has been designed with the smaller, trailer boat market in mind.
The in-line, vertical gearbox and motor means quick and easy installation by either the boat yard or the DIY aftermarket customer.
An inexpensive, high performance and great looking windlass; the RC6 is built for durability and years of trouble-free use.
The RC6 is a Low-Profile unit meaning there is no optional capstan drum. If a capstan is needed in addition to the rope/chain gypsy, then a step up to the RC8-6 would be the next option to consider.
